Domestic Violence Shelter
Domestic violence shelters are safe places where domestic violence and abuse victims can get help and temporary housing. Because many domestic violence victims are threatened with homelessness, shelters for domestic abuse victims are critical.
Emergency Housing
Housing designed to assist homeless individuals with immediate temporary shelter/housing, with the goal of moving into transitional and/or permanent housing.
Market Rate
Permanent housing that is intended to be the tenant’s home for as long as they choose, and is not subsidized by any government programs.
Safe Parking LA
The Safe Parking program gives people living in their cars, vans, and RVs/campers a safe and legal place to park and sleep at night.
Section 8
A long term subsidized housing program that allows qualified individuals to pay 30% of their income towards rent.

Shared Housing
Shared housing is defined as two or more people who live in one permanent rental housing unit, sharing costs associated with maintaining housing such as rent and utilities.
Sober Living
A place to stay where you'll have a supportive community and can start your new life free from alcohol or other drugs. Residents in sober-living homes commit to abstaining from substance use while participating in outpatient programming or after completing inpatient drug rehab.
Subsidized Housing
Government sponsored/funded housing that provides affordale housing for individuals with low to moderate incomes. Forms of subsidies include direct housing subsidies, non-profit housing, public housing, rent supplements and some forms of co-operative and private sector housing.
Transitional Housing
Housing that is designed to provide temporary supportive housing and services while facilitating movement into independent living.
