Description

Intimate partner violence (IPV) is abuse that occurs in a romantic relationship. (Intimate partner refers to both current and former spouses and dating partners.) IPV and sexual assault are pervasive, life-threatening crimes affecting individuals, regardless of age, economic status, race, religion, or education level. This training offers insights into the impact of sexual assault on individuals and its connection to intimate partner violence. Participants will learn trauma-informed responses, power and control and strategies for delivering effective support.
