Program Description:

DWC envisions a Los Angeles with every woman housed and on a path to personal stability. Its mission is to end homelessness for women in greater Los Angeles through housing, wellness, employment, and advocacy. At DWC, we believe employment is a life-changing opportunity that empowers women to succeed in all aspects of their lives, both at work and beyond. We work with women to find sustainable employment no matter their background or experience through the following programs.

Workforce Development Program aims to address the underlying causes of un/under-employment among women by providing access to a Learning Center, career readiness workshop series, job placement services, and transitional employment.

Our social enterprise MADE by DWC enables women to earn an income while gaining job skills and experience at our two brick-and-mortar locations in DTLA, or while handcrafting our shoppable line of all-natural, hand-poured soaps, soy candles, and bath salts.
